But not this year! On 1st of March 2012, One Piece Kaizoku Musou had been released for the PlayStation 3. This game features THE ENTIRE STORYLINE and all characters updates from the first time Monkey D. Luffy set out to the sea from Windmill Village until the Great Pirate War of which he lost his brother, Portgas D. Ace in the battle with Akainu.
I am eager to buy this game as soon as possible but for now it is only available in Japanese version. Cant wait for the US version to come out or at least its in Japanese with Translated English words and Subs. That would already be sufficient.
They are also selling a special Play Station 3 One Piece New World Edition Pack. Its basically a gold-coloured PS3 with the design of Luffy with his '2-years later' look and abundance of items to go along with it. One can also obtain the gold controller, the One Piece Kaizoku Musou itself, an OST of the game(?), and also some characters figures. More details can be referred on youtube for the unboxing.
As for the gameplay, it appears to be more to the Warriors Orochi/Dynasty Warrior type where you beat lots and lots of enemies. You can also control other crew members as well such as Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Sanji, Usopp, Tony Tony Chopper, Franky, Nico Robin and Brooke. These characters will develop new skills just like in the manga storyline.
Judging by the whole manga storyline, this game might require plenty of time to finish. There is also multiplayer enabled to enjoy online gaming with your mates.
